Eco-Runner Highlights at the 2009 Carlsbad Marathon
The 2009 Carlsbad Marathon proved to be a successful event on a personal level for Team Eco-Runner (Melissa and myself - pictured below). This year, I opted for the half marathon, concentrating on more trash cleanup and less physical damage to my 28-year-old aging body. Haha, right?...but seriously, it hurts after a punishing 26.2! Bend, sweep, run, ouch. So...these are the results of the Eco-Runner half:
My pre-race goal: 15 bags in less than two hours.
Needless to say, I was quite pleased indeed. Looking forward, I'm hoping to join my friends from Atayne in a "trash run." Races dedicated solely to eco-running will be my main focus, and they certainly make it the number one priority. Promoting the concept, setting a positive example for change, and inspiring others to join in.
All the best, Eco-Runners!
Run 4 more!
